YOLO
Because apparently, up until now, it wasn't apparent to the general population that yes, we do indeed only live once.

Stupid Things In America
I'm English, but my place of residence alternates between England and the wonderful sunny state of California. I generally love it over there in Silicon Valley, but there's quite a few things over there that made me think "okay that's plain dumb."
1. Firstly, I came across this ice-cream brand called "three twins." Am I the only one who sees a problem with this? No? Yes? Being a picky person, I'm generally annoyed by brand names that try to be funny with no logic whatsoever.
2. I got this image from the web, because I didn't have my camera with me at the time, but I came across a carousel with not only horses, but a cat...? What? Just plain dumb.

3. The English System. I think this speaks for itself.
4. The food. Again, speaks for itself. It seems like every food has a 'deep fried' or 'extra extra extra large' option. For goodness sake, we really don't need bacon-flavoured chocolate. Also, squirty cheese? No. Just STOP.
5. Convenience foods that save 10 seconds.
Is spreading peanut butter AND jelly really too much to ask?
Well that's all I can think of for now. I'll add more as I remember.
Note: This is all in good spirit. I'm not saying that all Americans are dumb or whatever. I love America! :) Just wrote this for a laugh.
Nerdy = cool? What?
This post is basically going to be about what the title says it's going to be about. Obviously. That's why we have titles. *Awkward social llama*
Anywho. So here's just a few things that I find annoying, being a true nerd and all.
1. People who pretend to be nerds/geeks/"gamer girls", because they think it's "cool"
I've never understood why certain people, especially teenage girls, feel the need to pretend to be a nerd. Why? Just, why do you do it? Surely people are going to realise that you're aren't truly a nerd, and then you're just going to make a fool out of yourself? And the sad thing is that most of these girls are so uneducated in the ways of geekdom that they wouldn't know who Yoda is, even if he slapped them in the face with a Lightsaber. It's all a bit tragic, really.
On another note... since when did we start labelling people as "nerds" and "geeks," or whatever? Personally, I don't think of myself as a "nerd" or a "geek." Well actually yes I do, but the important thing is that I don't make it define me. I'm not defined by the fact that I like things that might be considered geeky and nerdy. I don't feel the need to make myself feel special or whatever by saying "YEAH, I'M A GEEKY GIRL!" I'm just... ya know... I just happen to like nerdy things! I just go about my life, watching Doctor Who, reblogging Avengers gifs on Tumblr, and if that makes me geeky then okay, great! But it doesn't replace my identity.
2. People who purposely try and include geek reference in conversation whenever they can, just to "prove" that they are true nerds or whatever.
Pretty much speaks for itself. And I'll never understand why some people use geek references around people who don't understand them. Like, what's the point?
Okay, ramble over. I have to go study physics. Fuuuuuuun. Note the sarcasm there.
Talk to you soon,

Welcome to the blog of awesomeness.
Hello!
So hi. Wait, I already said "hello" at the beginning of this post.. and then I went on to say "hi."
Well that's just awkward. See, I really am a social llama. "But what is a 'social llama'?" I hear you ask. To explain the term in its fullest, I thought I'd share with you a quote from the marvellous Chris Colfer, who in fact coined the term "social llama":
“Like, where does a llama go? It’s not a horse. It’s kind of a camel, but it’s not a goat. It’s just on the farm, and people point and gawk at it because it has funky hair. That’s how I’ve always pictured myself. The llama tries to hang out with a duck and the duck freaks out and runs away. The cows are mean to it. That’s what it was like for me.” ~ Chris Colfer.
(...Basically the story of my life.)
(I know that there's probably going to be a few people out there who are going to bombard my inbox with stuff like "OMG YOU STOLE THE TERM 'SOCIAL LLAMA' FROM CHRIS COLFER, YOU LOSER, GO GET A LIFE," so I just thought I'd clear that up and say that yes, I know it is Chris Colfer's term, but until I receive a message from Chris Colfer himself telling me to change it, I intend on keeping my URL the way it is.)
Anywho, so this is my blog! Huzzah! For the last three odd years I've been promising myself that I'd make a blog at some point, and now I"m finally doing it! (Yes, I'm a procrastinator. An excellent one, in fact. Just another thing you should know about me.)
On this blog I shall post a variety of content, such as ramblings (obviously), my art, DIY and crafty things, food, philosophical thoughts and ideas, inspirational quotes and such, anything GEEK-RELATED (because I am one of the biggest geeks you will ever meet), general fangirling over geeky thing, and maybe an odd video or two? Who knows!
Excelsior!

P.S. You're awesome if you got that reference. Stan Lee truly is one of the most awesome people on this planet.
